DOE Invests Clean Energy Funding into 30 Communities

The total investment of $18 million will support technical assistance for local action plan customization.

The Department of Energy recently selected 30 communities to receive a combined $18 million for technical assistance while developing energy modernization plans. These communities were selected based on notable disinvestment and ties to fossil fuel industries, granting them the resources to create customized action plans to update their energy technologies. This group represents the second round of funding from the Communities Local Energy Action Program (LEAP)

“Through in-depth, customized technical assistance, Communities LEAP helps give local governments, Tribes, and community-based organizations an extra boost to further their progress of actionable plans that lower costs while protecting the health and safety of all residents,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for Secretary Granholm as she oversees the Communities Local Energy Action Program.
  • For U.S. energy officials to receive God’s direction as they pursue updates to energy technologies.
